Linking the Finch with BlueBird Connector

To use Finch 2.0 (Microbit) with Quorum you will need to download some software. 

  • Quorum Studio 6.x . https://quorumlanguage.com/download.html  Windows or Mac 

  •  BlueBird Connector app 
    firmware and software available at https://learn.birdbraintechnologies.com/install-shortcuts/)  Windows or Mac

  • You may need to update bluetooth firmware  BBTFirmware.hex  https://learn.birdbraintechnologies.com/downloads/installers/BBTFirmware.hex, 

  •  plug in micro:bit over USB, This is a micro USB port on the micro-bit. Not the mirco USB port on the Finch that is used for charging. 

  • It will mount Micro-bit as an external drive. Use the white cable that came with your finch, the same one you use for charging. 

  • Then move the file onto micro:bit

The Finch is fully working  robot.  It is simple to use and set up to work with your computer. 
Once you have your robot you need to charge it and then download a simple tool to use bluetooth to send your codes from your computer to your Finch. 
We have found these very durable.

Getting Started With Quorum Studio 6.2

Quorum and Quorum Studio are free. They are accessible. The work both as a text based editor and a block based editor. It is simple enought for beginners but is powerful enought for professional programers
